Full Description

Ring ditch, large double circle, outer ditch circa 50m diameter, built over (S1)(S2). One of three in former field - also BRF 006 & 027.

Cropmarks of a double ring-ditch, which probably represents a ploughed out Bronze Age round barrow, 35m in diameter. The outer ring has a narrow ditch, with the inner ring more substantial and measures 24m in diameter. There is no evidence for internal features or pits and there are no visible gaps in either of the ditches. A field boundary is visible and overlies the outer ring. The site has now been destroyed by a housing estate. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), March 2014. (S1, S3-S4)
