Full Description

Two quarry pits, visible as earthworks west and southwest of Hill Farm, at TM 41985527 and TM 42105515.(S1) The 1st Edition 1" (published 1837) suggests that the westerly pit was used for sand extraction and a Post Medieval date seems likely for both pits.(S2)
