Full Description

Three quarries, one of which is recorded as an 'old crag pit' on the 1st edition 25" map (S1), are visible as earthworks north and east of High Street, at TM 43405583, TM 43755565 and TM 43905550 (S2). The quarries are presumably of Post Medieval date. The two easterly ones are being ploughed by 1969 (S3).
