Full Description
An extensive complex of probable oyster pits, of unknown date, visible in saltmarsh on the west bank of the Alde at Short Reach (TM 444555 to TM 440568, with a few clustered out around TM 443566). The pits vary considerably in size and although there are a number of apparently ordered groups, there are also considerable numbers of seemingly randomly scattered individual pits. (S1)
Initially numbered as IKN 022 during pilot survey of intertial area. Re-numbered Nov 2004
