Full Description

An apparent World War II Coastal Artillery Battery Command Post is visible at TM 52598185, east of Covehithe. The complex is located on either side of a field boundary, including a row of huts to the east with the actual command post, probable antenna site and associated building to the west. Access appears to be controlled by a guard post and possible barrier by the lane to the north (S1). Construction appears to have started by early 1943 when the foundations of the site are visible (S2). The site has been reduced to its foundations again by 1952 (S3)
