Full Description

A rectilinear enclosure complex, potentially a settlement site, possibly of Iron Age or Roman date, is visible as cropmarks at TM 532835, south of Beach Farm. The cropmarks are aligned northwest-southeast and comprise one large, sub-divided enclosure, within which are two pits. This enclosure is on the south side of an apparent trackway and there seems to be further enclosure(s) on the north side of the 'trackway'. The complex is aligned similarly to the possible trackways and may form part of a fragmentary landscape with these features. (S1)
Initially numbered as BNC 025 during pilot survey of intertidal area. Also given duplicate number (now deleted) as BNC 037. Re-numbered Nov 2004
