Full Description

A World War II strongpoint is visible in 1940 on the beach at the end of the Hundred River outflow (TM 53768458). The site comprises a possible pillbox with a barbed wire line to the north and south. By 1941, the site seems to have been abandoned in place of a strongpoint just to the west while the barbed wire is utilized by later defences (S1-2). Much of the site has since been eroded away.
