Full Description
A World War II strongpoint visible north of the site of the Modern pumping station at the outflow of the Hundred River (TM 53658460). The site is visible in 1940 as a single pillbox but by 1941 there are two possible pillboxes and at least one emplacement with an extensive associated trench system, within a barbed wire enclosure (with western access) (S1-3). The site overlooks the beach to the east but is now at risk of erosion by the sea.
Initially numbered as KSS 034 during pilot survey of intertial area. Re-numbered Nov 2004
