Full Description

World War II defences are visible on the cliffs overlooking the beach at Kessingland (around TM 53618594). The defences comprise at least three apparent pillboxes (including one apparently built out of the cliff face), trenches and two probable weapons pits. The features may be visible under construction in 1940 but are apparent by 1941. (S1-3)
