Full Description

A zig-zag trench c35m long is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1940 (S1) & 1941 (S2). By 1945, it only appears as a faint crop mark on aerial photographs (S3). The trench is of World War II date and may have been used as a practice feature, or was possibly a component of the coastal defences of this area.
