Full Description

A square pillbox, c 5m across, is visible at TM 5494 9518 on 1941 aerial photographs (S1, S2). The structure does not show on 1940s aerial photographs, but is still visible on photographs of 1945 (S3). It overlooks Lowestoft Denes and would have formed part of the coastal defences of this area during World War II.
