Full Description

A square pillbox is visible on Gunton Cliffs at TM54849564 on 1940 (S1) & 1941 (S2) aerial photographs. It is can also still be seen on 1945 aerial photos (S3). On the 1941 photographs a trench c 25m long can be seen adjoining the pillbox, with 2 or 3 other small trenches nearby. The trench at TM54839560 is quite small and may possibly be a weapons pit. By 1945, vegetation on the cliffs has obscured most of the trenches.
