Full Description
A short jetty can be seen on the western side of the channel at Orford Haven. It consists of a linear, possibly wooden, structure and a small building or hut on the shore. The appearance of the jetty suggests either a late Post Medieval or Modern date for the structure. Unfortunately it is impossible to tell if the jetty was still in use in the 1940's. (S1) (S2)
Parts of the structure are still visible in 1971. (S3)
See HLY 044 and HLY 045 for nearby structures.
