Full Description

A military strongpoint can be seen on aerial photographs from 1944 (S1). It appears to be comprised of a pillbox (TM54199620), a gun emplacement and an unidentified feature, all surrounded by barbed wire. The strongpoint appears on photographs from 1940 (S2), but is not surrounded by barbed wire at this point. The features do not seem to have been enclosed until after 1941. It can still be seen on photographs from 1946 (S3), but the gun emplacement is not in very good condition.
