Full Description

A section of barbed wire obstruction c250m long can be seen running along the cliff top to the east of Corton on 1941 aerial photographs (S1). It does not appear on photographs from 1940. Close to the barbed wire (at TM54389755) a bomb crater can be seen, while at TM54399753 is what appears to be a small gun emplacement. The features can still be seen on 1945 photographs (S2), with the exception of the gun emplacement, which appears to have been levelled.
