Full Description

A hexagonal pillbox of World War II date can be seen in a hedge to the east of Buckanay Farm. (S1) (S2)
The pillbox is still in existence according to the modern base map.

At Bucknay Farm, Alderton. Type 22 pillbox of single-storey hexagonal plan, with flat reinforced concrete roof, covered with earth. Entrance in rear elevation, protected by flanking blast walls. Single large square embrasure in NE elevation (S3).
