Full Description
Two areas of raised ground with visible entrances built into them can be seen to the south of Denmark Road, near Lowestoft Docks on 1944 aerial photographs (S1). These would appear to be World War II shelters, possibly air raid shelters. One measures c 35m long, while the other is c15m long. The shelters appear to be located in an area used as allotments, possibly as a means of camouflage.
