Full Description

Two sections of slit trench, one 10m long and one 15m long, can be seen in the garden of a house on The Avenue, Lowestoft, on 1941 aerial photographs (S1). Close to these trenches is what appears to be a small gun emplacement. On aerial photographs from 1944 (S2) however, the gun emplacement can no longer be seen, and in its place are a number of small structures, presumably military buildings. Unfortunately, it is not possible to be sure of their exact function from these photographs.
