Full Description

A length of earthwork bank, apparently forming an incomplete hexagon, can be seen as an earthwork on aerial photographs from 1941 (S1). Parts of it are still visible on later photographs, from 1945 (S2). There may be a length of barbed wire obstruction on top of the bank, but it is difficult to be sure from the aerial photograph evidence. The feature does not appear on the 1st or 2nd Ed OS maps, and is therefore most likely to be of World War II date.
