Full Description

Two small slit trenches on the cliff-edge of Pakefield Cliffs can be seen on aerial photographs from 1941 (S1). About 50m west, is a small circular earthwork, c 5.5m across, which appears to be some kind of gun emplacement. These features are most likely to be of World War II date, and can also be seen on later photographs, from 1945 (S2).
