Full Description
An L-shpaed length of defensive scaffolding, over 300m long, can be seen on 1941 aerial photographs (S1) in a field to the south-west of Pakefield Hall. It appears to have been acting as a temporary tank trap, as in photographs from July 1941 (S2), a length of ditch under construction alongside the scaffolding can be seen. This ditch was the first section of a much longer tank trap (KSS 038). By 1944 (S3), there is no trace of the scaffolding, but the new more permanent tank trap ditch is clearly visible.
