Full Description

A feature c 10m long, comprising of a small circular hole, and a small raised area, can be seen on aerial photographs from 1941 (S1). Close to these two features is a curving length of bank, over 100m long. The smaller feature seem most likely to be related to a brickworks which is marked in this location on the OS 2nd Ed County map of 1904. It could possibly represent the remains of a brick kiln. The long curving bank may also relate to the brickworks on the site, although it's function is not clear. The 'kiln' feature is still visible on aerial photographs from 1944 (S2), but the bank has been ploughed out.
