Full Description

A circular earthwork, c 5m across, with a depression in the centre can be seen close to Coastguard Lane, Kessingland on 1941 aerial photographs (S1). This is most likely to be World War II gun emplacement. It does not appear on later photographs from 1944, suggesting that it had fallen out of use by this date.
