Full Description

A small rectangular building with a flat, probably concrete, roof is visible on a patch of open ground next to a group of houses in photographs from April 1944 onwards. Its high reflectivity suggests that it has recently been constructed. The location of the structure and the fact that there is a building that appears to be virtually the same in an allotment to the east of the site (FEX 114) supportthe interpretation of the structure as an air raid shelter. (S1) (S2)
The structure is still visible in 1955 although it appears that the site is in the process of being developed. (S3)
The area had been built over by 1963.
