Monument record EBV 038 - World War II trenches associated with a military structure on the beach or cliff edge.

A series of trenches, possibly for practice purposes can be seen just to the west of the beach at Southend Warren, north of Southwold (S1). There is a square structure c 5m across on the beach at TM51377747, which appears to be associated with the trenches, and may be a pillbox. The trenches are barely visible on photographs from 1943 (S2), suggesting that they may have fallen out of use by this time, and may have become overgrown.

Easton Bavants, Reydon (this is a site on the Suffolk coast that has now almost disappeared due to coastal erosion) Allan Williams turret. The landowner of the site said that the turret went over the cliff in 1974 and that it now lies below the low water mark. The adjacent ROC post went over the cliff in 1982. It can still be seen between the high and low water marks (S3).
