Full Description

A length of barbed wire obstruction can be seen running across fields just to the north of RAF Bawdsey from TM332383 to TM338384. It was constructed some time after July 1940 and it had been completely removed by September 1945. The barbed wire may continue to follow the drainage channel at its eastern end, but because this is unclear it has not been plotted. It formed part of the numerous defensive features constructed to protect the important site at Bawdsey during World War II. (S1) (S2)
