Full Description

A military site is visible on 1945 aerial photographs (S1) just to the west of Walberswick. It consists of a number of nissen huts and military buildings arranged around a trackway adjoining the main road. In addition there are a number of features which are close to the buildings which seem to be gun emplacement bases. There are three of these to the north-east of the cluster of structures which appear to have formed part of an anti-aircraft battery. There are also two other similar features to the west of the structures, although these do not appear to form part of a battery as the others do.
