Full Description

A mast can be seen at RAF Bawdsey from 1940 onwards. (S1) (S2). It was probably part of the experimental Chain Home radar station developed at RAF Bawdsey from 1936. It was probably a receiver mast. (S3) The mast was demolished before 1963 but the feet can still be seen in 1965 (S4)
See BAW 112 and BAW 126 for other possible receiver masts and BAW 051 for the transmitter masts.
