Full Description

A stretch of sea bank c 3km long can be seen running along the southern edge of Buss Creek on 1945 aerial photographs (S1), from TM49527567-TM51217698. These banks are part of the flood defence system in this area, and can also be seen on the 1st Ed 25" OS map of c1884, which suggests a post-medieval origin. They would have worked in tandem with those banks to the north of Buss Creek (see REY 043).
