Full Description
A small cluster of 10 structures, c 2m across at the most, can be seen on the beach to the south-east of Walberswick on aerial photographs from June 1941 (S1). There is also a larger structure, which would appear to be a pillbox, at TM49967438. The function of the smaller features is unclear, and it may be that they are temporary features, or possibly military supplies, laid out in storage. On aerial photographs from November 1941 (S2), the larger structure is still visible 'in situ', but the smaller features are in a much less regular order, and there do not appear to be quite so many of them. This suggests that they were either items being stored near the pillbox, or possibly temporary stuctures.
