Full Description
A military site with a number of small structures is visible c150m north-west of Mount Pleasant Farm, Dunwich, on 1945 aerial photographs (S1). The structures are joined together by trackways, and are not much longer than 8m in length. One or two of these structures may be pillboxes (at TM46836946 & TM46846958), but the functions of the other structures are unknown. The site is likely to be of World War II date, and may be associated with the construction of the nearby anti-tank ditch (DUN 043).
