Full Description
A section of sea bank can be seen as an earthwork between TM47436720 & TM47776697, to the east of Minsmere bird reserve, on 1945 aerial photographs (S1). It runs for c460m in total, mostly E-W, inland away from the coast. This bank is likely to have been part of the flood defences in this area, and may date to the post-medieval period, as there are similar features in this area which are from that period. It can still be seen as an extant earthwork on aerial photographs from 1972(S2).
