Full Description
A structure consisting of linear arrangements of posts can be seen enclosing the harbour at Ramsholt (TM307414) on photographs taken in the 1940's. There are two stretches of posts, one at each side of the jetty. The function of the structure is unknown but as it has disappeared by the 1950's it may be that it was part of Suffolk's World War II coastal anti-invasion defences as Ramsholt is very close to the mouth of the Deben.
