Full Description

A disused quarry is visible as an earthwork at TM32084094 in Ramsholt parish on aerial photographs taken in the 1940's. (S1) The quarry is later ploughed out and is then visible as a soilmark. (S2) The quarry is depicted on the OS 25" 2nd edition map of c.1904 and therefore there is a slim possibility that it could be a modern rather than Post Medieval feature. (S3)
See RMS 040 for nearby cropmark site.
