Full Description

One corner of possible rectilinear ditched enclosure of unknown date and function, centred on TM 28914188, can be seen as a cropmark on an aerial photograph taken in 2000. It does not appear to relate to the modern field pattern. (S1)
AP taken in 05/2011 shows more of the enclosure and a second one to the north of Stoney Wood. Possible rounded corners. Is on a strikingly similar alignment to another enclosure (HMY 001) (approximately 750m WNW) which is of proven Roman date, following partial excavation (Site 37 EA1)
