Full Description

A short row of World War II anti-tank cubes is visible on an aerial photograph taken in 1945 at TM 29085019, crossing the verge next to the road on the northern side of the River Deben, close to Wilford Bridge. There appear to be four or five concrete cubes forming some sort of obstacle for vehicles, although there does not appear to be any evidence of a road block on the carriageway itself. (S1) By 1948 the cubes are visible in a pile at the bottom of the verge. (S2)
