Full Description

Stretches of barbed wire obstruction are visible as structures crossing land between Buregate Road and St Edmund's Road, Felixstowe, on aerial photographs taken in 1941 and 1944. The stretches of barbed wire obstruction run on the same alignment from TM 29652956 to TM 29563360, with gaps of varying size between each section. It is not clear why the barbed wire is located in this position, though it may be another part of the extensive defences located on the nearby seafront (FEX 139). (S1) (S2)
