Monument record LCS 126 - World War II anti-tank cubes.

A row of concrete Second World War anti-tank cubes at are visible on aerial photographs Sizewell from 1941 onwards. They can be seen running in a west-east direction for approximately 110m, from the sand dunes at circa TM47526335 to the beach at circa TM47626335. The cubes were intended to prevent the lateral movement of mobile artillery along the sea-front, and were one component of the coastal anti-invasion defences that were implemented along much of the Suffolk coastline during World War II. The are first visible on 1941 photographs, but can still be seen on aerial photographs from 1982 (S1, S2).
