Full Description

A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as the faint cropmark of a ring ditch on an aerial photograph taken in 1996, centred on TM 23823661 to the south of Hill House in Shotley parish. The ring ditch encloses an area around 24m in diameter and its size suggests that it may represent the remains of a Bronze Age burial mound. (S1)
