Full Description

A World War II coastal searchlight is visible as a structure on aerial photographs taken from 1944 onwards, centred on TM 28393147 on the eastern side of Landguard Point, Felixstowe. The structure, probably an illuminated area light, measures roughly 6m by 4m and has a rounded front with a large opening through which a wedge-shaped beam would have shone. (S1) (S2) (S3) (S4)
