Full Description

A probable World War II air raid shelter is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs from 1944 onwards, centred on TM 28343240 close to the river between Landguard Fort and Felixstowe Docks. The earthwork bank is v-shaped and 34m in length by 4.5m wide. It may be a semi-sunken or covered trench shelter. (S1) (S2) (S3) See FEX 234 for other similar features.
