Full Description

A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible on aerial photographs as the parchmark of a ring ditch, centred on TM 24093902 in a field to the south of Levington Hall. The ring ditch is around 17m in diameter and slightly sub-circular. The feature is located in what appears to be part of Levington Hall and just to the north of an area of possible field systems and trackways also visible as cropmarks. The size of the ring ditch suggest that the most likely possibility is that it represents the remains of a Bronze Age burial mound. (S1) (S2) (S3)
