Full Description
An oyster bed is visible on aerial photographs as an earthwork on the saltmarsh, centred on circa TM42434946 to the south west of Orford Quay. The bed measures about 6 x 4m, and is adjacent to a structure on the saltmarsh. Both the oyster bed and the structure are marked on the second edition Ordnance Survey map of circa 1904. The bed is not marked on the first edition of circa 1884, so the date of its construction is unclear. (S1-3)
