Full Description
Two lengths of World War II date barbed wire can be seen as structures on aerial photographs to the west of The Rods wood, at circa TM39394813 and TM39664850, Gedgrave parish. The southernmost length may consist of two parallel lengths, and is circa 200m long, and the northernmost is about 100m long. The purpose of these obstructions is unclear from the aerial photographs alone. They appear to have been removed by September 1945. (S1, S2)
