Full Description

A 'C' shaped slit trench of World War II date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Boyton parish from 1943 onwards (S1), centred on circa TM38484699. The trench is located at the corner of a field that contained a large military temporary camp (see BOY 035) and may have been associated with it. It is roughly 2m wide and in total about 20m long.
