Full Description

A possible World War II military site is visible as a possible structure and earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, located in a disused quarry pit to the east of Erwarton at TM 22673473. The site consists of what looks like a slit trench with a circular terminal at each end and a possible structure slightly to the west of the trench which is difficult to interpret from the available photography. (S1) (S2) The features are no longer visible by 1951. (S3)
