Full Description

The remains of field boundaries, probably of Post-Medieval date, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south of Brantham Court, Brantham parish, centred on circa TM12883395. The alignment of the cropmarks is similar to that of the surrounding Post-Medieval field system, suggesting that the cropmarks may be forming over the lines of removed Post-Medieval hedgerows. Two sections of ditched trackway, at circa TM12753399 and TM12773419 are on a similar alignment but appear less regular in character and may be earlier in date. (S1, S2)
