Full Description

A possible boat hard or quay of unknown date is visible as an earthwork at TM 16533402 in the inter-tidal zone of Holbrook Bay, Stutton. The features consists of a low bank which protrudes into the bay at a right angle to the shore. The bank measures around 80m in length. (S1-S3) The date of the possible quay is unclear but the structure is not marked on the 1st or 2nd edition Ordnance Survey maps of circa 1904 and 1884. (S4)
