Full Description

Field boundaries, enclosures, ring-ditches and a trackway of unknown date are visible in a cropmark complex on aerial photographs, centred on approximately TM26353997, to the west of the large trapezoidal enclosure KIR 004, Kirton parish. All the linear elements of the cropmark complex are aligned roughly along the same axes as KIR 004, north-west to south-east, and may be associated with the larger enclosure. The curvilinear cropmark at circa TM26354003 may be geological in origin but has been plotted for completeness. It is unclear if the ring-ditches have any association with the enclosures. (S1-S4)
