A pillbox of Second World War date, probably a type 22 with an enclosed entrance to the south-west, can be seen as a structure on the western edge of Rushmere Heath, Ipswich, centred on circa TM19774479. It probably formed a line of defence along the vulnerable heath edge with three other pillboxes in the immediate area (see IPS 491-493)
